Reduce waste by mixing your "used" coffee grounds into your garden or compost. Coffee grounds act as a green material with carbon-nitrogen (C-N) ratio of 20-1. Mixed into your compost, the grounds help to speed up the composting process. Keep your grounds at 23- 25-% of your total compost pile. Also, you can add brown leaves, and grass clippings to help balance the pH of your soil.

Give up your paper cup addiction, and trade up to a friendly "reusable travel coffee mug". Make your travels with hot coffee more safe and help save our planet's trees.
